I have a farm and had a few head of cows and 300 sows on it. I sold all the stock but was feeding every day when this happened: My grand kids have go carts, so in their field, which is about a 40 acre pasture, they have a track that runs around the fence. On a Saturday morning my oldest daughter, Julie called and asked if I would stop with my XLT after I fed and help look for Katie's wheel nut she had lost off her go cart. I told her I would be glad to, so after I fed I went to Martie and Julie's. They were in the pasture looking for the nut with my three grand kids. I got out the XLT and went through the gate. The kids came over to greet me and told me where they thought the nut might be. Along the fence on one side of the field was some yucca plants. Martie came over and asked if I had scanned the plants, so I put the coil in the top of one of the plants. Out ran a snake! It ran straight at Martie. He kicked it with his foot--his shoe string half hitched around the snake. Martie was a kickin' the snake and was going everywhere. Julie was kicking at the snake and kicking Martie on the shins. The middle girl was hitting her dad on the back. All was hollerin' and running everywhere! Finely, the snake came loose and got under the fence. Martie just turned white and started to the house mumbling about having to wash his truck. I think it was him that needed washing. Jess |
