About the logo:
The above logo has gone through several transitions. Originally it was located on the corner of the front, opening page. Because it had to be reduced in size to fit on the page with other items, it could not be seen. Also, it was of a different genera with crossed metal detectors and a computer monitor depicting the globe.

This idea was scrapped and a second logo was created. It was a "whole page" logo on the opening page with a link to our site. Later, it was realized our members who often frequent the site, were logging directly onto the main page, bypassing the logo and also the site counter.

The logo had to be on the opening page. A third logo was created (the one shown above) and was put on an opening page by our Secretary, Todd Griffith. Again, it was a whole page logo. At the same time I created a new opening page without a logo. That meant there were two opening pages, one created by myself, Tom Ivines, and one by Todd Griffith, our Secretary. The pages were to be voted on as to which one to use on our site, but before the event could take place, Todd and I decide to join the two pages together. The agreement was also to let me have full reign of the web site with him as the overseer. The results is the page you see now when you log onto the IMDA Web Site.

It is important to mention that through all of this, it was Glen Ashba of Michigan, USA who created all of the logos for us in the first place. And, if you are wondering why the logo is in the shape of a cross, it is to signify Christianity without pegging our site as a religious entity, even if it did evolve from the Christian Medal Detecting Forum on Find's Electronics Web site. We certainly owe a debt of gratitude to both Glen Ashba, and Gary Keithline of Find's Electronics . . . Salute!
